December 2014 MIPsoft wins Golden Apple as Best Developer of the Year and BlindSquare second place as Best Assistive iOS App of the Year

The users of AppleVis, a website run by and for visually impaired users of Apple devices, vote for the apps and developers to receive a Golden Apple Award. “The AppleVis Golden Apple Awards were launched in 2012 as a way for the community to recognize the best apps, products, and developers of a given year. To be shortlisted for the Golden Apple Awards, apps must be completely accessible to blind and low vision users; they must be exceptionally good at their intended purpose; and they must have a developer who has continually demonstrated a strong commitment to accessibility.”

August 2013 BlindSquare inducted into AppleVis iOS App Hall of Fame

AppleVis, a website run by and for visually impaired users of Apple devices, regularly asks the community to vote for the apps that deserve a place in the Hall of Fame. “Our goal is to showcase the passion and hard work that app developers put into creating great apps that are fully accessible to VoiceOver users. These apps place powerful tools into the palms of our hands, and give access to services, information, media or entertainment that the sighted world takes for granted.”

OpenCities AppChallenge

The Open Cities App Challenge brings together to important themes of the smart city: open data and sensor networks. Any app using open data can participate in this challenge.

The Mobile Premier Awards is the largest cross-platform app showcase in the mobile industry, providing a point of reference for the startup and app community during the Mobile World Congress.
